A TESTIMONY: "It's amazing to think how many school supplies kids need, not only to start the school year, but several times during the year.
Your donations really help families living in the Bryant School neighborhood." —Skylar (Program Coordinator, Bryant Community Center)
OUR STORY: For 11 years, Journey of Faith has donated school backpacks and supplies to area students.
Currently, 175 school backpacks and supplies are donated to under-resourced families in the Bryant neighborhood, Alpha House, and Ypsilanti.
HOW YOUR MONEY IS SPENT: Your donation of $40 purchases a school backpack filled with supplies for one student.
You can use the "Quantity" field to indicate how much you would like to donate from $1.00-$500.
Please note that a payment transaction fee (2.9% of the amount donated, plus $.30) is included to process your donation. The transaction fee will be deducted from your donation.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST IN MAKING A DONATION!

HOW OUR FAITH COMMUNITY HAS BENEFITED FROM THIS MINISTRY: This ministry started because a few of the church's kids knew students who were starting school in the fall without backpacks and supplies.
The kids talked to the principles or counselors in each of their schools and made arrangements to provide supplies to a handful of students. Since 2006, about 1,340 students in Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti Community Schools have received school backpacks and supplies.
What we've learned from a bunch of kids is this: When we realize the true nature and purpose of community — faithfulness to Jesus and serving those in need — we open ourselves to authentic discipleship and lives that are focused outward. And ironically enough, this is often when we experience real biblical community most.
